National & State Recognitions of Academic Excellence

Holston View Elementary School was recognized as a 
Reward School for the 2021-2022 school year for outstanding academic achievement.  Students earned reward schools status by being the top 5% across the state in achievement as measured by State tests.  We are proud of our students and their academic performance!

RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School - Gold Level Reward 2021-2022

Tennessee Tiered Supports Center (TSC) is proud to announce Holston View Elementary has been selected as an RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School—Gold Level for 2021-2022. There are over 1,800 schools across the state of Tennessee and each year a small percentage of schools meet criteria to be selected as an RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School.

Holston View Elementary has been a participant in training and technical assistance and has undergone the process of implementing a positive and proactive behavioral systems framework for all students. The RTI2-B framework consists of identifying common behavioral expectations across campus, teaching, re-teaching, reinforcing, and regularly acknowledging students, faculty, and families for exhibiting these expectations. Holston View Elementary has applied this framework to improve their school climate and culture, student engagement, and school connectedness. In meeting this award criteria, Holston View Elementary demonstrated use of school-wide behavioral data to inform teaching practices and levels of support provided to students based on need. Twice a year, they also reflected on overall fidelity to guide their implementation of the RTI2-B framework.

As an RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School—Gold Level for 2021-2022, Holston View Elementary can now serve as a RTI2-B mentor to other schools across Tennessee.

RTI2-B training, technical assistance, and supports were provided to schools by Tennessee TSC (formerly Tennessee Behavior Supports Project), a technical assistance center funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee.

Holston View Elementary School was recognized as a Reward School for the 2020-2021 school year for outstanding academic achievement.  Students earned reward schools status by being the top 5% across the state in achievement as measured by State tests.  We are proud of our students and their academic performance!

Holston View Elementary School was recognized as a Reward School for the 2016-2017 school year for outstanding academic achievement.  Students earned reward schools status by being the top 5% across the state in achievement as measured by State tests.  We are proud of our students and their academic performance!

Tennessee Department of Education Reward School 2014-2015
Holston View Elementary School was recognized as a Reward School for the 2014-15 school year due to outstanding academic progress.  Students earned reward schools status by being the top 5 % across the state in achievement as measured by state tests.  We are proud of our students and their academic performance!

Tennessee Department of Education Reward School 2012-2013
Holston View Elementary School was recognized as a Reward School for the 2012-2013 school year due to outstanding academic progress.  Reward Schools are in the top 5 % across the state.  Being recognized as a reward school is a tribute to the skilled staff and supportive community at Holston View Elementary School.  We are proud of our students and their academic achievement!

National Blue Ribbon School

Holston View Elementary School was awarded the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2007.The Blue Ribbon Schools Program sets a standard of excellence for all schools striving for the highest level of achievement. Each year since 1982, the U.S. Department of Education has sought out schools where students attain and maintain high academic goals. Using standards of excellence evidenced by student achievement measures and the characteristics known from research to exemplify school quality, the Department celebrates outstanding schools from states across the country.
