Safety Patrol

Fifth grade students are eligible to participate as Safety Patrols.  Students must apply for the position and applications are available from 5th grade teachers.  

The School Safety Patrol's job is to remind students of the school safety rules and to guide them in safe arrival, dismissal, and movement through the building. 

The duties for the School Safety Patrols are listed below:
Attend and participate in all patrol meetings and training sessions.
Set a proper example of appropriate behavior and encourage all students to follow school rules at all times.
Report for duty on time with safety patrol belt/vest.
Remind students to walk in the hallways during arrival and dismissal times.
Report to violations in student conduct to the bus driver, faculty advisor, administrators, and/or staff members. 

Students who remain eligible for safety patrols may participate in the Safety Patrol field trip at the end of the year.  

Safety Patrol enter door #28 at 7:35 (parents may pull in to the front circle for drop off b/w 7:35-7:40).  Buses arrive after 7:40 therefore, if you are running late you may not enter the front circle for drop off.  

Dismissal - safety patrols are dismissed around 3:30 daily.  Patrols may not leave their post until an announcement is made over the intercom that they may be dismissed.
